Diagnose and repair heavy equipment for SMS Equipment in Timmins, using hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical expertise. Work safely across field and shop environments.

As a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, you will support construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and mini excavators. The work includes preventative maintenance, component overhauls, current equipment builds, and digital diagnostics. You will maintain accurate service records while adapting to changing locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, component overhauls, and new equipment builds
- Use digital diagnostic tools and hands-on troubleshooting techniques
- Service equipment at customer, contractor, mine, roadside,



and remote sites
- Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate service documentation

Requirements:

- Certified Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or 7,000 hours experience
- Experience maintaining and repairing construction equipment
- Valid Class G driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Ability to troubleshoot using varied diagnostic tools and approaches
- Willingness to complete required safety-sensitive pre-employment checks
