Help students build independence and self-help skills as an Educational Assistant at Roland Michener Secondary School in northern Alberta.

The High Prairie School Division offers work supporting students with physical, mental, behavioural, health, and safety needs. Educational Assistants implement teacher-directed programs, assist with therapy and exercise activities, and contribute observations for evaluation and planning. Support may involve students individually, in groups, or during travel and off-campus activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support language, mobility, independence, and self-help development
- Attend to feeding, toileting, positioning, and physical care
- Conduct prescribed therapeutic and exercise programs
- Escort students to and from buses, taxis,



and activities
- Reinforce social and learning behaviours during supervision

Requirements:

- Cover letter, resume, and three skilled references
- Acceptable recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid Training considered an asset
- Speech and language program experience considered an asset
- Special needs and behavioural support experience considered an asset
