This permanent part-time Registered Nurse position supports Operating Room care at GBGH. The RN works collaboratively within the healthcare team, applying theoretical knowledge, OR experience, and critical thinking in the peri-operative setting. Care follows the College of Nurses of Ontario’s three-factor framework.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room
Apply peri-operative theoretical knowledge and technical skills
Use the three-factor framework in care decisions
Consult and collaborate with healthcare providers
Support positive patient outcomes through problem solving
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in valuable standing
Current B.C.L.S., ACLS, and PALS certifications
OR certification and current Operating Room experience
Excellent clinical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
Proficiency with IV starts and phlebotomy
Use Operating Room experience, peri-operative knowledge, and collaborative nursing judgment to deliver direct care at GBGH.
