Support Algoma Steel’s Sault Ste. Marie workforce through labour relations expertise, HR guidance, and on-site partnership with employees and leaders.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this Business Partner advises clients across the organization. The work covers legislation, Collective Bargaining Agreements, policies, employee relations, and HR processes. You will also support recruitment, onboarding, investigations, and organizational change.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise clients on legislation, policies, conduct, and workplace culture
- Coach leaders on attendance, performance, succession, and talent management
- Support positive labour relations and grievance administration
- Conduct investigations and recommend practical solutions




- Lead recruitment and onboarding for organizational workforce needs

Requirements:

- University degree or college diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Experience in unionized industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of labour and employment legislation
- Experience interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Advanced Microsoft Office and HRIS experience, preferably SAP SuccessFactors
