Provide specialized anesthesia care on-site at HGH Main Campus in Hawkesbury, supporting adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients during eight-hour shifts.
This temporary part time Anesthesia Assistant position is 0.5 FTE, approximately until January 2028. Assist anesthesiologists with elective and emergent surgeries while delivering patient-focused care. Apply anesthesia principles, medications, monitoring, and equipment expertise across operating room services.
Key Responsibilities: Assist anesthesiologists during general anesthesia delivery
Support complex anesthesia equipment and procedures
Administer medications and provide moderate sedation
Insert intravenous lines and manage arterial lines




Assess anesthesia depth and provide continuity of care
Requirements: Respiratory Therapy diploma and current Ontario General Certificate
Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant Program
Minimum three years working as a Respiratory Therapist
Current WHMIS, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
French and English communication skills with operating room experience
Support anesthesia services with patient monitoring, technical expertise, and respiratory therapy capability at HGH Main Campus in Hawkesbury.
