Reporting to the Facilities and Environmental Manager, the Laundry Aide cares for linen supplies and residents’ personal clothing. The position follows health and safety, infection control, quality management, and machine-operation guidelines. It also supports laundry services, facility cleanliness, and resident safety within established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Receive, sort, classify, wash, and dry laundry
Follow treatment instructions for soiled linens
Label, sort, deliver, and collect personal clothing
Report machine malfunctions to the Facilities and Environmental Manager
Clean laundry areas and maintain equipment and supplies
Requirements: Minimum grade 10 education
Previous housekeeping experience
Ability to read, write English, and follow instructions
Understanding of chemical, equipment, and infection control processes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
