Support patient hygiene, well-being, and mobility as a temporary full time Patient Aide at HGH Main Campus in Hawkesbury, Ontario. Work on-site across disciplines.
This reserved 1.0 FTE position assists patients with daily needs and supports nursing staff with direct patient care. Duties include personal hygiene, feeding, communication, and patient transport. You may also deliver supplies or samples to appropriate departments while sharing relevant information with the care team.
Key Responsibilities: Make beds and change wet or soiled linens
Assist patients with bathing and personal hygiene
Respond promptly to nursing call bell requests
Help feed patients as requested by the care team
Communicate patient information to appropriate team members
Requirements: Personal support worker certificate or equivalent
Current CPR certification
Practical knowledge of French and English
Empathy and effective communication skills
Confidentiality, respect, and strong team spirit
