Provide professional nursing care at AgeCare Trilogy in Scarborough, using geriatric nursing knowledge and directing Personal Support Workers.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will support residents in a regular, full time position. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and healthcare partners while ensuring care needs are met. The position requires knowledge of long-term care nursing, relevant legislation, and College of Nurses of Ontario standards.
Key Responsibilities: Provide professional nursing care to residents
Implement AgeCare policies and procedures with Registered Nurses
Communicate significant resident status changes to physicians
Direct Personal Support Workers on the care team
Participate in shift reports with healthcare team members
Requirements: Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
Knowledge of applicable healthcare legislation and regulations
Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
Membership in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
