Lead municipal water distribution and wastewater collection operations with the City of Fort Saskatchewan, applying advanced technical expertise and crew coordination. This permanent full time position includes rotating 24/7 on-call duties and occasional overtime.

As Utility Operator III, you will report to the Foreman, Utilities, and support reliable drinking water, fire protection, and wastewater collection. The work combines infrastructure troubleshooting, regulatory testing, contractor coordination, emergency leadership, and technical input for projects. You will also have opportunities to act as Foreman.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct and coordinate field activities and operational programs
- Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair water infrastructure




- Maintain sewer infrastructure and implement corrective actions
- Conduct testing, sampling, and system compliance checks
- Coach crews during daily operations and emergencies

Requirements:

- Five or more years operating municipal water and sewer systems
- Alberta Level III Water Distribution certificate
- Alberta Level III Wastewater Collection certificate
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent qualification
- Valid Alberta Class 3 license with Air Brake endorsement
