Structural drafting and AutoCAD expertise support Rio Tinto engineering projects in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. This permanent residential role excludes fly-in, fly-out work.

As a Drafter, you will prepare, update, and maintain technical drawings for sustaining and capital projects. Most work involves structural drafting, with additional mechanical drafting exposure. You will support industrial infrastructure, including structural steel remediation, monorails, access platforms, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare engineering construction drawings, layouts, and technical documentation
- Interpret field notes, sketches, and preliminary data accurately
- Maintain drawing records, revisions, and document control processes




- Review drawings for completeness and technical standards compliance
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project stakeholders

Requirements:

- Drafting, engineering technology, design qualification, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience preparing technical drawings in engineering environments
- Proficiency with AutoCAD computer-aided design software
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
- Robust attention to detail and accurate documentation management
