Design custom circuits and firmware for Huawei Canada’s compact AI-edge devices, integrating sensors, wireless modules, and ARM-based embedded systems.
This 12-month contract supports the Huawei Human-Machine Interaction Lab. You will build resource-constrained devices running localized AI algorithms, combining circuit design, firmware development, and prototype validation. The work spans sensing, multimodal interaction, and human-AI interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design custom circuits and develop firmware for compact electronic devices
- Integrate IMUs, displays, microphones, vision, and environmental sensors
- Implement Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, NFC, UWB, and RFID modules
- Validate concepts using STM32, ESP32, NRF, or Arduino platforms
- Document schematics, testing protocols,
and structured technical reports
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in electrical, computer, embedded systems, or related engineering
- Four-plus years prototyping hardware, designing circuits, and verifying systems
- Experience with analog, digital schematics and component selection
- ARM, RTOS, manufacturer SDK, and board-driver development experience
- Ability to travel frequently to China for technical coordination
