Maintain a sanitary, safe school setting as a Custodian supporting students and staff. Prepare, secure, and care for the building daily.
Reporting to the Principal, the Custodian maintains school operations and functionality. This position supports a learning environment conducive to student success and a pleasant workplace. Duties include occupancy preparation, security, cleaning, supplies, basic maintenance, building operation, and summer work.
Key Responsibilities: Ready the school building for occupancy each day
Secure the building at the end of each day
Maintain clean and safe daily and weekly conditions
Assist with supplies and basic building maintenance
Support building operation and summer duties
Requirements: Grade 6 education or equivalent life experience
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
Fluency in multiple Nunavut official languages considered an asset
Northern cross-cultural experience considered an asset
Bring dependable cleaning, security, and building support to a school environment serving students and staff.
