Deliver protected resident care as a Health Care Aide with AgeCare, using personal care skills and mechanical lift procedures. Work under Staff Nurse supervision.
This Health Care Aide supports AgeCare residents as part of a care team. You will provide basic care and services while meeting individual needs within your knowledge, skills, and competency. Duties include bathing, transfers, feeding, treatments, and resident movement. The position requires clear English communication and appropriate safety controls.
Key Responsibilities: Bath, shower, and wash residents following care requirements
Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
Feed residents according to individual care plans
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Accompany residents to meals, therapy, and social functions
Requirements: Recognized Personal Care Aide or equivalent education certificate
Active CLHA registration
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
One year continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
Apply resident care, safe transfers, feeding assistance, and communication skills as an AgeCare Health Care Aide.
