Prepare daily meals and support guests as a Casual Cook at Lookout Housing and Health Society in North Vancouver. Work wide-ranging shifts across seven days.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Cook prepares, cooks, and serves meals, snacks, and beverages. The position ensures food availability after hours while maintaining kitchen, dining, and storage areas. You will follow set menus, organize supplies, and work with kitchen volunteers.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and serve daily meals, snacks, and beverages
Ensure food remains available for guests after hours
Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen, dining, and storage areas
Work with and oversee kitchen volunteers
Follow menus and itemize required supplies
Requirements: Grade 12, Cooking Diploma, and two years related experience
Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 and FOODSAFE certificates
Experience with institutions, cost analysis, and effectiveness
Menu planning and order supply list experience
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Clearance
Bring cooking, organization, food safety, and cleanliness skills to support guests at Lookout’s North Shore Housing Centre.
