Support occupational therapy services at Cape Breton Regional Hospital using therapeutic assistance and technical support skills. This is a permanent part time position in Eastern Zone.
Reporting to the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services Program Manager and supervised by an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant supports CBRH clients. The position involves independent and collaborative work with health care team members and students. Services may extend throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Complete therapeutic and technical occupational therapy support duties
Deliver services to Cape Breton Regional Hospital clients
Work independently with clients and health care teams




Collaborate with students and health care team members
Follow CBRH policies and procedures
Requirements: Graduate from a recognized community college occupational assistant program
Maintain annual BCLS certification
Demonstrate communication, creativity, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Work independently and collaboratively with clients and caregivers
Adaptability, flexibility, initiative, and French are assets
Bring occupational therapy support, communication, and problem-solving skills to clients across Cape Breton Regional Hospital’s rehabilitation services.
