Your area of focus. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting concepts effectively in real-world business situations and demonstrate strong overall accounting knowledge. This includes a solid understanding of job costing, accruals, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable and payable, as well as the proper treatment of intercompany transactions and personal expenses. Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Sage for data processing, reconciliations, and related accounting tasks is also important. In addition, the candidate should have a positive understanding of GST/HST requirements, with knowledge of various provincial PST systems considered an asset.

What are the must haves… Requires work experience in accounting related roles. Need to know how to apply accounting concepts in real world situations
Very sound accounting knowledge.



Needs to understand concept of job costing, accruals, prepaids, receivables, payables and how intercompany transactions and personal items are handled.
Experience in using accounting software for data processing and reconciliation
Good understanding of how GST/HST and income tax works and experience in filing and reconciling tax accounts. Have understanding of how various PST works is an asset.
Have some experience in being a team lead
Good time management to meet all deadlines
Maintain good communications and can collaborate with various parties
Remain attention to details in fast pace environment and when handling high volume of data
