Design governed Power BI solutions in Toronto while applying advanced DAX, SQL, semantic modelling, and Azure Databricks expertise. This hybrid role requires three office days weekly.

The BI Engineer reports to the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer within Four Seasons’ Data & Analytics organization. You will build reusable datasets, semantic models, reports, and dashboards supporting reporting, self-service analytics, and broader AI use cases. Collaboration spans stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts, Microsoft, and solution providers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Translate business needs into scalable BI solutions and data products
- Build reusable semantic models and governed datasets
- Develop optimized DAX measures and complex SQL queries




- Design Power BI reports and dashboards over governed models
- Embed lineage, quality checks, security, and certification

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree and six-plus years of IT experience
- Five-plus years of BI engineering experience
- Four-plus years with Azure, Databricks, and Power BI
- Advanced Power BI, DAX, SQL, and dimensional modelling
- Experience with CI/CD, testing, governance, and security
