Lead Occupational Health and Safety, leave management, and accommodations for ACEH as a full-time Human Resources Generalist in Victoria, BC.

The Human Resources Generalist supports ACEH’s HR operations with primary responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety. This position coordinates leaves, return-to-work planning, workplace accommodations, and compliance. It works with employees, managers, union representatives, and external partners in a unionized workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate ACEH’s Occupational Health and Safety program
- Support risk assessments, inspections, investigations, and corrective actions
- Coordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee activities
- Manage leaves, accommodations, and return-to-work processes




- Maintain confidential records and compliance documentation

Requirements:

- Three to four years of progressive HR experience
- Unionized, nonprofit, or community social services experience
- Experience supporting OH&S; programs and safety compliance
- Knowledge of BC employment legislation and WorkSafeBC requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
