As a Commercial Examiner, you will evaluate property damage, coverage, liability, and settlement recommendations for commercial insurance claims. You will work with policyholders, independent adjusters, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The position requires accurate processing, sound judgment, and customer-focused communication throughout each claim.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review independent adjuster reports for commercial property claims
- Assess coverage, liability, damage, loss, and subrogation opportunities
- Prepare findings, coverage positions, settlements, and reserve recommendations
- Negotiate settlements and respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries




- Maintain compliant, accurate, comprehensive, audit-ready claim files

Requirements:

- Minimum three years in commercial property claims or related insurance fields
- Robust knowledge of property policies, coverage interpretation, and claims procedures
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Xactimate experience preferred; field adjusting experience is an asset
