Reporting to the Business Intelligence Lead, you will deliver innovative data and analytics solutions that support business decision-making and operational efficiency. You will build Power BI reports and semantic models, develop data solutions using Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric, and leverage Python and notebooks for analysis, automation and predictive modeling.
You will work directly with business units to identify opportunities, translate requirements into practical solutions and help teams adopt new BI and AI tools. You will also leverage Snowflake CoCo and Microsoft Copilot to support development and innovation while ensuring solutions are accurate, maintainable and aligned with business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, interactive reports, semantic models and paginated reports.
- Build DAX calculations, Power Query transformations and reusable data models that support accurate and consistent business metrics.
- Optimize SQL queries, reporting performance and refresh processes, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Deliver BI solutions through requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, tables, views and transformations in Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.
- Design and maintain reporting-ready schemas and dimensional models using appropriate data warehouse principles.
- Use Python and notebooks for data preparation, analysis, validation, automation and application development.
- Understand existing ETL/ELT workflows,
source-to-target mappings, scheduling and dependencies across ingestion, transformation and reporting.
- Monitor and maintain existing data pipelines, troubleshoot failures and collaborate with Data Engineering teams on structural changes and upstream issues.
- Validate data through reconciliation, completeness checks and investigation of missing, duplicated or inconsistent records.
- Conduct discovery sessions with business units to understand processes, challenges, reporting needs and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business needs into documented requirements, business rules, technical approaches and acceptance criteria.
- Present prototypes and findings, facilitate user acceptance testing and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
- Help business teams adopt BI and AI tools through demonstrations, guided pilots, workshops, user guides and hands-on support.
- Explain technical concepts, solution limitations and business benefits clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Gather feedback, address adoption barriers and evaluate usage and business outcomes after implementation.
- Use Snowflake CoCo and Microsoft Copilot to support development, analysis, troubleshooting and documentation.
- Identify practical opportunities to apply AI and automation to business workflows,
partnering with the Business Intelligence Lead to prototype and refine solutions.
- Review and validate AI-generated code and outputs for accuracy, maintainability and appropriate data handling.
- Develop, evaluate and refine machine learning and deep learning models using Python to support predictive analytics and business decision-making.
- Participate in Agile planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
- Break requirements into manageable tasks with clear acceptance criteria and effort estimates, keeping work items and delivery status current.
- Manage competing priorities across development, discovery and production support in alignment with the Business Intelligence Lead.
- Communicate progress, blockers, dependencies, scope changes and delivery risks proactively.
- Maintain documentation covering business definitions, transformation logic, data lineage and operational dependencies.
- Follow established access controls, change requests, data governance, version control, code review, testing and release practices.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant qualified experience in business intelligence, data analytics, BI development or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong Power BI development skills, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling and data visualization.
