Apply engineering studies to construction quantity surveying with PCL in Edmonton, supporting estimators across an eight-month Canadian Industrial Division assignment.

As an Estimating Student, you will work under the direct supervision of a lead estimator. The assignment begins in January 2027 and includes reviewing, performing, transferring, and checking quantities. You will also support purchasing, bid documentation, subtrade solicitation, and periodic job site visits on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand and use PCL estimating manuals, systems, and forms
- Perform and review assigned quantity survey work
- Transfer quantities with the lead estimator
- Provide purchase item quantities for pricing




- Support subtrade solicitation and bid day activities

Requirements:

- Engineering degree or diploma currently in progress
- Mechanical or civil major required
- Construction interest and prior field experience considered an asset
- Computer software proficiency, including Microsoft Suite
- Self-motivated and prepared for estimating assignments

Strengthen quantity surveying and estimating capabilities while supporting PCL’s mechanical construction work from its Edmonton office.
