About the Role

We're recruiting on behalf of an established, successful, project-based business looking for the right person to join our Leadership Team and help the business grow.

This isn't just a role overseeing the numbers. You'll have a genuine voice in business decisions, work closely with the team, and help shape how the company operates. You'll also remain hands‑on, leading the finance and accounting functions and supporting the day‑to‑day needs of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead the company's accounting and finance functions, including managing a small team.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Manage project-based accounting, including progress billings, deposits, and project profitability.
- Partner with the Leadership Team on operational planning,



financial decisions, business improvements, and strategic direction.
- Work closely with sales and operations to support project execution and financial performance.
- Improve financial processes, systems, and controls as the business continues to grow.

What You Bring to the Team

- Approximately 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including responsibility for leading a finance and accounting function.
- Experience in construction, contracting, or another project-based business would be a strong asset.
- Sound business judgment, a hands‑on approach, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to leadership decisions.
- A CPA designation is an asset, but not required. We value practical experience and demonstrated leadership.
- Most importantly, you're a positive, team-oriented, and down‑to‑earth team player with a growth mindset. You take ownership, support those around you, and genuinely care about delivering great results.
