Apply IFRS 16 expertise as an onsite Lease Accountant with the LCBO in Toronto, supporting accurate lease portfolio accounting and reporting.

This one-year contract reports to the Senior Manager, Real Estate Administration & Analysis. The finance-focused role interprets lease terms, prepares accounting treatments, investigates variances, and supports financial controls. You will work with Finance, Real Estate, landlords, and other partners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Apply IFRS 16 to leases, renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Prepare entries, reconciliations, continuity schedules, and working papers
- Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Validate calculations, system outputs, remeasurements, and modifications
- Analyze occupancy expenses, variances,



recoveries, and billing discrepancies

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience applying IFRS 16 in lease accounting
- Three or more years handling calculations, entries, reconciliations, and close
- Advanced Excel skills with datasets, formulas, pivots, and models
- Ability to interpret agreements and explain complex financial variances
