A boutique labour and employment law firm is seeking to recruit a lawyer to support the growth of its practice. The firm advises a client base composed of entrepreneurs, project owners, and organizations in both the private and public sectors on complex matters involving labour relations and occupational health and safety.

The Role

You will be involved in strategic advisory and litigation mandates, with direct exposure to high-profile matters and the firm's clients. You will work closely with the founding partner and actively contribute to the development of the practice.

Responsibilities

- Advise and represent management-side clients in labour and employment law, labour relations and occupational health and safety matters
- Manage files involving collective bargaining, grievance arbitration and labour disputes
- Act on CNESST-related matters before the Administrative Labour Tribunal and the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division)
- Draft, review and negotiate employment agreements, internal policies and strategic correspondence
- Advise entrepreneurs and project owners on regulatory matters in the construction industry (CCQ,



RBQ and other authorities)
- Represent clients before administrative tribunals and specialized forums
- Contribute to business development, positioning and the firm's market presence

Requirements

- Member in good standing of the Québec Bar
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in labour and employment law, collective labour relations, grievance arbitration, or occupational health and safety
- Litigation or arbitration experience (strong asset)
- Excellent command of French; English is an asset
- Strong analytical, drafting and judgment skills
- Autonomous, rigorous, entrepreneurial mindset with robust prioritization skills
- Interest in the construction industry and regulated environments (asset)
