This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction supply environment.ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming phone calls from customers and vendorsMaintain positive customer relations and ensuring a high degree of customer serviceGreet walk-in customers and maintain merchandising in the product showroomRespond to inquiries for product pricing and provide quotations to customersWork with our procurement and outside sales staff to price products competitively,



providing customer feedback to the operations teamProvide timely responses to questions/concerns regarding product timelinesCoordinate inventory levels in showroom and aid in merchandizing/displays of productPerform office administrative duties including scanning, filing, organizing, and cleanupAid with the procurement of materials from vendorsDevelop in depth product knowledge, including product applications and product substitutionsParticipate in the branch safety programOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious customer service experience, preferably with direct experience in theconstruction materials industryUnderstanding of common pricing tactics and strategiesValid driver's license, reliable transportation and clean drivers abstractStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft OfficeKey AttributesExcellent verbal and interpersonal skills both in-person and on the phoneAbility to work and prioritize tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environmentProblem solving skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detailProven customer service and upselling skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHours of WorkThis is a full time, permanent postion. Branch operating hours are 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday to Friday. Hours may be adjusted forseasonality based on the needs of the business.Work EnvironmentThis is primarily an in-office position, however, accessing the warehouse may be required.
