Senior Security Automation Developer specializing in Python and Splunk SOAR supports Sun Life’s hybrid Security Operations technology ecosystem.

This senior role develops automation across security platforms, enterprise systems, and APIs. You will design scalable solutions using Python, YAML, REST APIs, JSON, Ansible, and Splunk SOAR. The work improves security operations by reducing repetitive manual processes and strengthening reliability, monitoring, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Splunk SOAR playbooks
- Build reusable Ansible workflows using YAML
- Translate security requirements into technical automation designs
- Troubleshoot complex integrations, authentication, APIs, and workflows




- Lead solutions through production support and retirement

Requirements:

- Five or more years of Python development experience
- Five or more years in cybersecurity or related disciplines
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and enterprise systems
- Solid software development practices, including Git and testing
- Related technology education or equivalent relevant experience
