Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a security-minded infrastructure engineer who can architect, design, and deploy a vulnerability management program from the ground up — not simply operate a tool.
You will be embedded within a Linux engineering team supporting a large-scale vulnerability remediation initiative, responsible for shaping the security posture of the environment end-to-end.
This is a hands-on design and implementation role requiring both deep technical ability and the strategic mindset to drive remediation outcomes across a complex environment.
Skills and Requirements
5+ years in a security engineering or infrastructure security role
∙ Hands-on experience architecting and deploying a vulnerability management platform — Tænium, Qualys VMDR, Tenable.io / Nessus, or Rapid7 InsightVM
∙ Robust Linux engineering background — RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent
∙ Demonstrated ability to design VM programs end-to-end, including scan architecture, agent deployment, and remediation workflow design
∙ Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments
∙ Strong understanding of CVE scoring, CVSS, patch management, and vulnerability prioritization frameworks
∙ Ability to communicate risk findings and remediation priorities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
∙ Experience with cloud security posture in hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
∙ Familiarity with Crowd
Strike Falcon Spotlight, Wiz, or Prisma Cloud
∙ Exposure to SIEM/SOAR integration (Splunk, IBM QRadar, Palo Alto XSOAR)
∙ Security certifications: CISSP, GPEN, GWAPT, Qualys Certified Specialist, Tenable Certified
∙ Experience in regulated industries — financial services, banking, insurance
∙ Knowledge of OSFI guidelines, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, or ISO 27001 frameworks
∙ Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Power
Shell for automation and scan orchestration
