South Trail Chrysler is looking to hire a Lead Lube Technician!

The Lead Lube Technician performs work as outlined on repairorders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factorystandards. In this lead role, you'll also guide and support the express lubeteam. You'll help keep workflow, quality, and safety on track so every customergets fast, reliable service.

Pay: $25–$32 per hour, depending on experience

Leadership Duties

- Lead, train and mentor Lube Technicians on proper procedures, tools and best practices
- Coordinate dailyworkflow and assign repair orders to keep vehicles moving and wait timesdown
- Perform quality checkson completed work so it meets dealership and factory standards
- Act as the main point ofcontact between the lube bay, Service Advisors and Shop Foreman
- Help Service Advisorsexplain inspection findings and recommended maintenance to customers
- Keep the lube bay clean,organized and well stocked, and flag supply or equipment needs
- Model and enforce safework practices and health and safety compliance across the team
- Support onboarding ofnew team members

Job Duties

- Lubricate all movingvehicle parts with specified lubricants




- Operate hand orcompressed air powered grease gun to inject grease into units (springs,universal joints, and steering knuckles)
- Inspect fluid levels ofsteering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential,shackles and rear axle housings
- Drain oil from crankcaseand replenish with required amount
- Replace air and oilfilters
- Check and adjustpressure of tires
- Rotate, repair, andreplace tires, when necessary
- Follow company andmanufacturer policies, directives and procedures
- Comply with requiredhealth and safety regulations
- Perform any other dutiesas required

Qualifications

- Previous experience as aLube or Express Technician in a dealership or fast-paced serviceenvironment
- Experience leading,training or coordinating a team is an asset
- Solid understanding ofautomotive industry
- Strong mechanical skillsand attention to detail
- Robust communicationskills and a customer-first attitude
- Ability to stayorganized and prioritize in a busy shop
- Ability to lift tiresand other heavy equipment
- Good visual acuity toassess work performance
