About the role

Grainger is hiring a National Account Manager for an existing vacancy. The role focuses on retaining and growing multi-site accounts with MRO potential of $500,000 to $19 million. You will develop headquarters and site-level relationships, negotiate profitable agreements, and help establish Grainger as customers’ primary MRO provider.

Responsibilities

- Grow profitable revenue with existing national accounts and negotiate new customer agreements.
- Manage customer agreements, including their development, implementation, compliance, renewal, or discontinuation.
- Develop value-added programs and measurements aligned with customer objectives and Grainger’s value proposition.
- Support sales and customer service teams with account planning, site penetration, and removal of barriers.




- Coach field sales team members on customer‑specific market plans and provide professional development feedback.
- Lead change management across customer organizations and maintain communication with field and support management.

Qualifications

- Post‑secondary education.
- At least three years of proven sales performance selling a structured value proposition.
- Ability to develop account strategies, negotiate win‑win agreements, expand accounts, maximize contract value, and support execution and accountability.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary range: $87,280–$120,010 per year, with eligibility for an $18,000 incentive target contingent on individual and company performance objectives.
