Role Description The Millwright role at Graymont is a full-time, in office position based in Exshaw, AB. The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment used in lime production, including conveyors, pumps, crushers, and related systems. Daily tasks include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, and completing repairs to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.





The role also involves using hand tools and power tools, reading technical drawings and manuals, following safety procedures, and working closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of industrial equipment.
- Robust Troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
- Skilled in the safe use of Hand Tools and Power Tools in an industrial environment.
- Relevant trade certification or journeyperson Millwright status (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
- Experience in heavy industry, mining, cement, or lime production is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout and other safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
