We’re Hiring: Temporary Customer Service Representative

We’re looking for a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our team while one of our team members is away on maternity leave.

This is a full-time temporary position for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable talking to customers and not afraid of a fast-paced transportation environment.

What Your Day Might Look Like

No two days in freight are exactly the same, but you’ll spend your time:

- Helping customers with shipment and delivery questions by phone and email
- Tracking freight and providing updates
- Working with our terminals to get answers and solve issues
- Following up on delayed shipments, shortages and overages
- Preparing daily reports and keeping information accurate
- Assisting with billing and data entry
- Reviewing PODs, BOLs and shipment paperwork
- Scanning and organizing documents
- Monitoring customer service email and live chat
- Helping dispatch with phone coverage when needed
- Reviewing shipments for wait time and additional charges
- Cross-training so you can help the team wherever coverage is needed
- Handling the occasional “Where is my freight?” mystery

What We’re Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Positive verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and email
- Good data-entry and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, positive, and willing to learn

Previous experience in transportation, freight, logistics or customer service is an asset, but a strong attitude and willingness to learn matter too.
