We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and dependable Appliance Repair Technician to join our team.

Job Description
Our ideal candidate has extensive experience diagnosing and repairing residential appliances, along with commercial refrigeration experience and appropriate trade certification.

However, we are also interested in candidates with strong domestic appliance repair experience or related technical backgrounds, including electronics and computer repair.
We value exceptional troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, analytical thinking, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Travel to residential and commercial customer locations for scheduled service appointments.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and ranges.
- Diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical failures and identify their root causes.
- Service commercial refrigeration equipment where appropriately qualified and authorized.
- Prepare repair assessments and estimates.
- Repair or replace faulty components following customer approval.




- Maintain accurate service records, diagnostic notes, and parts documentation.
- Use technical manuals, wiring diagrams, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer resources.
- Explain repair findings and recommendations to customers.
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service.
- Stay informed about appliance technologies, electronic controls, tools and repair procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing domestic appliances.
- Commercial refrigeration repair and troubleshooting experience.
- Ontario 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic certification, or other appropriate authorization for assigned refrigeration work.
- Robust electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems independently.
- Experience with appliance control boards, sensors, motors, and electrical circuits.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.

Alternative Experience We Will Consider
While experienced appliance and refrigeration technicians are our first preference, we also welcome applications from individuals with:

- Strong domestic appliance repair experience and some commercial refrigeration exposure.
- Some appliance repair experience combined with excellent diagnostic abilities.
- Computer hardware repair, electronics repair, or similar technical experience.




- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical systems quickly.

Candidates with less direct experience must be motivated to develop their skills through training and supervised practical work.

General Requirements

- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain digital service records.
- Ability to work independently according to experience and training.
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, stand, and safely handle tools and equipment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training.
