Landscape & Horticultural Assistant (Part-Time)

Compensation: $28–$30 per hour, depending on experience

Carbon Estate Stewardship is a growing, locally owned landscaping and horticultural business providing professional garden maintenance, landscape improvements, pruning, planting, and estate stewardship throughout the Comox Valley.

With over 20 years of industry experience, I take pride in delivering thoughtful, detail-oriented horticultural care and building lasting relationships with clients.

I'm looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to assist with ongoing residential landscape projects and garden maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Garden bed preparation, weeding, edging, and cultivation
- Mulching, soil amendments, and material installation
- Planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Assisting with pruning, seasonal cleanups, and garden restoration
- Removing green waste and maintaining tidy work areas
- Safely operating hand tools and basic landscaping equipment
- Loading, unloading, and moving landscape materials
- Supporting efficient project completion while maintaining high standards of workmanship

Qualifications

- Previous landscaping, gardening, horticultural, or outdoor labour experience preferred
- Good plant knowledge is an asset




- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work, including lifting, bending, digging, and prolonged standing
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Able to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Respectful and professional when working on clients' private properties
- Willingness to learn proper horticultural practices and techniques
