Q Test Inspection Ltd. is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our electrical inspection team in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

This opportunity is ideal for retired or semi-retired electricians, or experienced professionals looking to put their knowledge to work on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Q Test Inspection Ltd. is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada and specializes in electrical equipment field evaluations under CSA SPE-1000.

We are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable individual to perform electrical equipment inspections as assignments become available.

Responsibilities:

- Perform electrical equipment field evaluations in accordance with CSA SPE-1000 requirements
- Inspect industrial and commercial electrical equipment for compliance with applicable standards
- Identify electrical safety concerns and non-compliance issues
- Complete accurate inspection reports and supporting documentation
- Communicate findings professionally with clients and team members
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Travel to inspection locations throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

- Valid Journeyman Electrician Certificate
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22.1)
- Industrial and commercial electrical experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and documentation skills




- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Assets:

- 15–30+ years of industrial electrical experience
- Experience with industrial machinery, control panels, and electrical equipment
- Electrical inspection or quality assurance experience
- Familiarity with CSA SPE-1000 and applicable CSA electrical standards
- Background in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, or industrial construction
- Previous electrical supervisory or foreman experience

Previous CSA SPE-1000 inspection experience is an asset but is not required.
