Remote, Cornwall ON | Part-time/contract, Permanent | $18.50 to $22.50 per hour + Commission on new rental bookings

About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, tech-comfortable person to run our VR rentals department. You’ll respond to rental requests over email, clean and format headsets, provide customer support, and maintain equipment and software. No VR experience is required, just a friendly attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

- Reply to customers, explain rental options and pricing, and process bookings, rentals, and payments
- Sanitize headsets, controllers, and accessories between every rental
- Walk new users through safety guidelines, controls, and game or experience selection
- Provide friendly customer service
- Check equipment in and out, inspect it for damage, and report missing or faulty items
- Charge batteries and update software and game libraries as instructed
- Troubleshoot basic issues like tracking, connectivity, and app crashes
- Set up invoices, shipping of headsets across Canada and returns - finding efficiencies wherever possible

Qualifications

Required

- Comfortable with consumer tech (phones, apps, Wi-Fi, gaming devices)
- Friendly,



patient communicator who enjoys helping people try something recent
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to [25 kg /50 lbs]
- Willingness to follow cleaning and safety procedures strictly

Nice to have

- Experience with VR, gaming, or retail/customer service
- Square payments or booking system experience
- Computer skills
- Marketing skills

Working Conditions

- Work from home, occasionally from Poptronic's home office
- Occasional busy periods (holidays)
- Frequent handling of shared equipment, so hygiene routines are essential
