Are you comfortable reading construction drawings, preparing accurate estimates and helping customers find the right solution? Join Armtec’s Edmonton team and contribute to drainage and highway infrastructure projects across your assigned region.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will prepare estimates and quotations, support customers with technical product information, and help move opportunities from initial inquiry through order entry. You will work closely with contractors, engineers and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver accurate, timely service.

This is an 18-month contract position based in Edmonton, Alberta.

What you’ll do

- Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and proposals for contractor bids and project budgets.

- Complete quantity and material takeoffs using construction drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and other tender documents.

- Build relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their needs and recommending suitable product solutions.

- Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate technical support with internal teams.

- Identify project opportunities through tender advertisements, online searches, customer inquiries and requests for quotations.

- Track bids, follow up on tender results and maintain accurate opportunity records.

- Prepare and enter sales orders, ensuring customer and project details are complete and accurate.

- Connect with customers by phone and in person to discuss projects, answer questions and support ongoing business relationships.

What you’ll bring

- A diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline.

- Experience in estimating, bidding, and quantity or material takeoffs.





- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documents.

- Clear communication skills and confidence explaining technical information to customers and colleagues.

- Strong attention to detail when preparing quotations, entering orders and maintaining records.

- The ability to organize competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

- Experience in drainage, road construction or related infrastructure projects would be an asset.
