Project Controller (Mechanical) | Full Time

Join the team at VIA Plumbing Heating & Drainage Ltd.! We're looking for a Project Controller (Mechanical) to run the office side of our projects — keeping every job moving smoothly, following up daily, and following up quotations and clients to help bring in new work, so nothing falls through the cracks.

About the Role

You are the coordination hub of the company. From the office, you keep all our plumbing, heating, and drainage jobs "lubricated" — schedules, crews, materials, clients, and general contractors all kept in sync — and you follow up on every active job, every day. You report directly to management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate all active jobs day to day — keep schedules, crews, and work flowing smoothly.
- Follow up daily on every job: check progress, chase updates, and close outstanding items.
- Handle project office work: emails, documentation, and scheduling.
- Liaise between job sites, the office, and clients and general contractors.
- Prepare progress summaries for management.
- Follow up quotations, project leads, and client enquiries, and help secure new orders.
- Keep in regular contact with clients and general contractors to bring in new and repeat work.
- Be available for weekend on-call duty when needed (preferred).

What We're Looking For:

- Experience: Experience coordinating construction, mechanical, or plumbing jobs, or in construction office administration.
- Knowledge:



Must have plumbing and HVAC knowledge — a solid understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems, terminology, and job requirements is required for this role.
- Organisation: Highly organised, detail-focused, and strong on follow-through.
- Licence: A valid BC Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Legal Documentation: A valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and proper identification.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and professional email handling. English required; Mandarin or Cantonese an asset.
- Sales Ability: A sales mindset — proactive in following up leads and quotations and helping win new orders.
- Availability: Weekend on-call availability is a strong asset.
