About the Role:

Goodness Me! is looking for a Full-Time Cook (Good Kitchen Team Member) to join our Good Kitchen team at our Burlington location. In this role, you’ll prepare and cook food, follow established recipes, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and help ensure our Eatery offerings meet our standards for quality, freshness, and presentation.
Whether you have experience in a restaurant kitchen or are looking to build your food preparation skills, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and has a genuine interest in valuable food.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, preparation methods, and quality standards.
- Wash, cut, measure, portion, and assemble ingredients for daily food preparation.
- Ensure food is prepared consistently, with attention to taste, freshness, quality, and presentation.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, rotation, and temperature control procedures.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen, including workstations, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
- Complete daily kitchen opening, operating, and closing duties.
- Receive, inspect, store, and organize food and supply deliveries.
- Prepare, package, label, and replenish ready-to-eat meals, grab-and-go items, and other prepared foods.
- Maintain attractive and well-stocked food displays.




- Work collaboratively with team members to support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Provide friendly customer service and assist with basic questions about prepared foods when needed.
- Follow all company policies, food safety requirements, sanitation standards, and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, food service, or prepared foods environment is an asset.
- An interest in cooking, food preparation, and healthy living.
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
