Lead strategic planning and research operations at the University of Calgary’s Digital Futures Institute in a full time, fixed-term management role.The Manager supports Academic Co-Leads developing the Institute’s vision, mission, strategy, metrics, and expected outcomes. This position manages funds, data requests, reporting, partnerships, events, and daily operations across collaborative research initiatives. Work requires project and budget management, consultation, complex problem solving, and careful attention to deadlines.Key Responsibilities:
Translate Institute vision and mission into measurable strategic plansPrepare status reports, presentations, correspondence, and related documentationCoordinate workshops, events, activities, and transdisciplinary collaborationsManage funding, financial reporting, partner databases,



and operational processesServe as the Institute’s primary contact for diverse partnersRequirements:
Graduate degree addressing digital and societal challengesMinimum five years of progressively responsible related experienceExperience managing high-profile projects, projects, and budgetsPost-secondary experience and knowledge of administrative proceduresStrong communication, facilitation, critical thinking, and relationship-building skillsBring research administration, strategic planning, partnership development, and responsible AI capabilities to the Digital Futures Institute.
