Duties

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Deliver instruction in a clear and effective manner, utilizing various teaching methods
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with special education needs
- Provide tutoring sessions and additional support for students requiring extra help
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and school programs




- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior
- Ensure classroom management fosters a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Proofread educational materials and student work for clarity and accuracy

Experience

- Prior classroom experience is preferred, demonstrating ability to manage diverse student populations
- You must be familiar with Ontario OSSD course outline
- Proven teaching skills across high school grade levels
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support is advantageous
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus
- Robust writing skills for creating lesson plans, assessments, and educational content
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
- Organizational skills necessary for maintaining detailed records and managing classroom activities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week

Work Location: Remote
