Overview

The Formwork Carpenter builds and prepares formwork for concrete construction, using plans and site measurements to create accurate forms. The role supports the construction of concrete structures with attention to safety, quality, and coordination with the crew.

Duties

- Read blueprints, measure work areas, and prepare materials for formwork.
- Erect, install, and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks and barricades.
- Build footings, wall forms, column forms, slab forms, and stair forms.
- Build, position, and secure forms; assist with rebar installation and concrete forming, placement, and finishing.
- Use hand and power tools, move materials, and coordinate equipment use as needed.
- Support related carpentry tasks as project needs require.

Skills

Required: Practical carpentry skills, hand and power tool use, blueprint reading, concrete forming, and secure material handling support daily formwork duties. Mechanical knowledge helps with equipment and task coordination.

Pay: $29.00-$38.00 per hour
