AR Decking is looking for a reliable, hardworking Carpenter Helper to join our team. Our company specializes in custom deck construction, landscaping, and custom sauna builds.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is eager to learn new skills in carpentry and construction. The successful candidate will assist our crew with a variety of outdoor construction projects while helping maintain a safe, organized, and productive work workplace.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpenters with building decks, stairs, railings, and other outdoor structures.
- Help construct custom saunas and assist with installation.
- Assist with landscaping projects, including site preparation, grading, and material handling.
- Measure, cut, carry, and organize lumber and other building materials under supervision.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare and clean job sites before, during, and after projects.
- Assist with deck repairs, restorations, and finishing work.
- Follow instructions from lead carpenters and project supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other general construction duties as required.

Qualifications

- Previous construction,



carpentry, or landscaping experience is required.
- Willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing outdoor manual labour.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation required..
