Overview

- We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Casual Health Care Aide to provide respectful, person-centered support to individuals who need assistance with daily living.
- This casual role may involve working in a home-care, assisted-living, or long-term-care setting, depending on client and organizational needs.
- You’ll help clients maintain their comfort, dignity, independence, and connection to their routines and community.

Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living, following each client’s care plan and preferences.
- Provide attentive senior care and support to individuals with disabilities, adapting assistance to each person’s abilities and needs.
- Offer patient, reassuring support to clients living with dementia, using respectful communication and established care practices.
- Assist with medication administration only as authorized, trained, and permitted by applicable policies and regulations; document and report concerns as required.
- Prepare meals and provide help with eating when needed, while following dietary instructions and food-safety practices.
- Complete light cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using approved techniques and equipment.
- Observe changes in clients’ health,



mood, or behavior and promptly communicate relevant information to the appropriate care team.
- Maintain client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality, and follow infection-prevention and workplace-safety procedures.

Qualifications

- Compassionate, reliable, and respectful approach to caregiving, with clear communication and sound judgment.
- Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures, and direction from supervisors or health professionals.
- Caregiving experience is an asset. Experience in assisted living, a nursing home, senior care, home care, or working with individuals with disabilities is especially valued.
- Familiarity with dementia care, medication administration, meal preparation, and household cleaning is an asset.
- Willingness to complete required orientation and training and to maintain any role-specific certifications or clearances required by the employer or applicable regulations.

Pay: $17.79-$18.00 per hour
