About Toronto Ski Club

Toronto Ski Club is a private, family-oriented ski club located at the base of Blue Mountain. During the winter season, our clubhouse is a busy gathering place for members and their families to relax, dine and socialize after a day on the slopes.

We're a small, hardworking team that takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-kept environment for our members. Everyone pitches in, supports one another and helps keep the Club running smoothly.

The Position

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and hands-on individual to join our team as a Seasonal Clubhouse Maintenance & Operations Attendant.

This is a diverse, physically active position that's ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving everyday problems and taking pride in keeping a property in great shape.

No two days are exactly alike! From clearing snow and maintaining entrances to handling minor repairs, preparing spaces for events and helping with daily clubhouse operations, you'll play an important role in keeping the Club running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, notices what needs attention and can work independently without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Building & Property Maintenance

- Shovel and snowblow entrances, walkways, decks and stairs to maintain safe access for members and staff.
- Monitor outdoor areas throughout the day and respond to changing snow and ice conditions.
- Perform general building upkeep and minor repairs that do not require a licensed contractor.
- Maintain entrances,

storage areas and other clubhouse spaces in a safe and orderly condition.
- Identify maintenance concerns and communicate larger repair needs to management.
- Assist with moving equipment, supplies and furnishings as needed.

Clubhouse Operations

- Assist with daily building opening and closing procedures, including security checks and preparing the clubhouse for members.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify safety, maintenance or operational concerns.
- Help ensure clubhouse facilities are clean, safe, organized and ready for use.
- Support other departments with general operational tasks as needed.

Event Setup & Team Support

- Assist with setting up and tearing down Club events, including moving tables, chairs and other furnishings.
- Work with the event team lead to prepare and reset clubhouse spaces.
- Occasionally assist with light cleaning duties, including clearing tables, emptying garbage or tidying common areas when additional help is needed.
- Pitch in with other clubhouse staff during busy periods.

What We're Looking For

A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to take initiative are essential.

Our ideal candidate is:

- Self-motivated: You can identify what needs doing, prioritize your workload and stay productive without constant direction.
- Handy and practical: You're comfortable using basic tools, handling minor repairs and troubleshooting everyday maintenance issues.
- Hardworking:

You enjoy physically active work, including outdoor snow removal in winter conditions.
- Reliable and punctual: You understand the importance of showing up on time and being ready to work, particularly on busy weekends.
- Safety-conscious: You recognize potential hazards and take appropriate action to keep the property safe.
- A team player: You're respectful, easy to work with and willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
- Flexible and adaptable: You understand that priorities can change quickly in a busy clubhouse environment.

Previous experience in property maintenance, building operations, resort operations, landscaping, snow removal or a similar hands-on role is an asset.

Experience operating a snowblower and using basic hand and power tools would be beneficial.

You must be comfortable working outdoors in winter weather and performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving furniture and equipment.

What We Offer

- Consistent full-time seasonal hours.
- A predictable weekly schedule with Wednesday and Thursday off.
- A friendly, supportive team environment.
- A varied, hands-on position where no two days are exactly alike.
- A unique workplace at the base of Blue Mountain.
- A workplace where initiative, reliability and hard work are genuinely valued.

Interested in Joining Our Team?

If you're dependable, enjoy working with your hands, take pride in keeping a property in great shape and are happy to pitch in wherever needed, we'd love to hear from you!

Please apply with your resume and a brief introduction telling us about your relevant experience and why you'd be a great fit for Toronto Ski Club.
