Role Description The Data SRE role is a full-time remote position responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring data systems and pipelines, identifying and resolving incidents, and implementing automation to reduce manual intervention. The role involves collaborating with software development and data engineering teams to design resilient architectures, optimize infrastructure,



and enforce best practices for observability and capacity planning. The Data SRE will also maintain documentation, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives around reliability, security, and cost efficiency. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Site Reliability Engineering, including observability, incident management, and reliability best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting complex data and infrastructure issues using logs, metrics, and tracing tools.
• Proficiency in Software Development (e.g., Python, Go, or similar) for building tools, automation, and integration scripts.
• Background in System Administration, including Linux environments, networking fundamentals, and security-conscious operations.
• Experience managing Infrastructure for data platforms (cloud services, containers, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and storage systems).
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts, databases, and distributed data processing frameworks is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams with explicit communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
