We are currently hiring Journeyman Welders and Apprentices to join our fabrication team. CWB an asset. The position will be a blend of shop structural fabrication and field structural welding. We are not seeking welders with their own rigs at this time.

The successful candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced team environment.

Position Summary:

The Welder is responsible to fabricate, assemble, maintain, weld, install and repair structural units and piping systems, in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The Welder provides leadership and support to apprentice ensuring accurate training for the completion welding task. Additionally, this position is responsible to promote a high level of customer satisfaction, in accordance with company beliefs, policies, procedures, objectives and applicable legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.

· Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.

· Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

· Operate brazing and soldering equipment.

· Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.

· Repair parts of metal products through various welding applications.

· Conduct Technical Inspections.

· Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits as required.





· Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues.

· Assist in training, directing & supervision apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.

· Ensures accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

· Keep detailed and accurate documentation of completed work.

· Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques

· Carry out task safely, ensuring a safe work environment that exceeds an acceptable Health and Safety Standard.

· Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Journeyman Welder Certification or Actively enrolled in Provincial Welding Program

· Sound analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

· Ability to multi-task, effectively manage time and adapt to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

· Ability to efficiently coordinate workings with internal and external workers of the company.

· Able to work individually and as a team member.

Working Conditions:

· Shop/Field environment, traveling to multiple site locations, potentially requiring work on evenings and weekends. Trained, as necessary, in required safety protocols.
