Hawthorn School is an independent, Catholic-inspired, all-girls school located in Toronto, Ontario. We provide a “small-school experience” where each girl is known, participates and flourishes in every aspect of school life.

Hawthorn provides a classical liberal arts education that is university preparatory. It focuses on the development of cultural literacy and critical reasoning skills, and aids in the growth of virtue. Hawthorn is a smaller school that makes a big difference in the students’ lives, one student at a time. It is a unique place that explores each child’s potential and recognizes and responds to their respective needs.

We respect the shared goals of our students and their families. The distinct learning environment allows teachers and mentors to know every child and their personal interests and abilities.

This fosters a truly individualized education and allows every child to leave her mark in her own way.
