Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to lead client relationships and own the month-end close and financial reporting process for a portfolio of clients. You'll be the accounting lead clients rely on — ensuring accuracy, meeting deadlines, and building the kind of trusted partnerships that make us indispensable to the businesses we serve.

This is a high-ownership role built for someone who thrives without hand-holding. You'll operate independently, make informed decisions, and take real pride in the quality of your work. And as we grow, so will you — over time, you'll take on oversight of our outsourced accounting and due diligence engagements and help develop a high-performing team.

Duties

- Own the monthly close — journal entries, reconciliations, and final financial review, start to finish
- Deliver financial statements that are accurate, timely, and aligned with US GAAP and client expectations




- Serve as the primary contact for your client portfolio, building trusted long-term relationships through clear communication and consistent delivery
- Lead special projects including financial due diligence, technical accounting support, audit preparation, and system transitions
- Mentor junior staff and uphold quality across all deliverables, continuously improving processes and internal controls

What We're Looking For

- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation
- Minimum 3 years of experience at a Big Four firm (EY, PwC, Deloitte, or KPMG)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication — you can translate complex financials into plain language
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently

Nice to Have

- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero
- Experience in startups, venture-backed companies, or consulting environments
- Familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 842, and other technical US GAAP standards
- Hands-on experience working with US-based clients
