NewGen Cleaning Services is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Janitorial Cleaner for a recurring commercial cleaning position in Grande Cache, Alberta.

The position includes regular indoor cleaning, periodic deep cleaning, seasonal lawn and grounds maintenance, and winter snow clearing. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to provide consistent year-round service.

Responsibilities

- Complete scheduled janitorial services outside regular business hours
- Clean and disinfect washrooms
- Sweep and mop floors, stairs, entrance areas, and rubber mats
- Vacuum and spot-clean carpeted areas
- Empty and disinfect waste containers
- Remove garbage and recycling and replace liners
- Clean the staff-room sink and common areas
- Clean entrance windows, partitions, and doors
- Dust furniture, blinds, windowsills, electronics, counters, and other surfaces
- Restock paper products, soap, garbage bags, and other supplies
- Complete quarterly and annual deep-cleaning tasks
- Assist with lawn mowing and trimming during the growing season
- Complete spring cleanup and basic flower-bed maintenance
- Shovel walkways, stairs, and entrance landings before required opening times
- Apply ice melt when needed
- Report hazards, damages, access problems, and supply shortages




- Correct identified cleaning deficiencies promptly
- Follow company safety, security, confidentiality, and reporting procedures

Requirements

- Previous commercial or institutional cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to complete cleaning before 8:15 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m.
- Availability for snow clearing before 8:00 a.m. when required
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s licence
- Robust time management, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow written checklists and procedures
- Ability to maintain facility security and confidentiality
- Physically able to perform cleaning, snow clearing, and basic seasonal outdoor maintenance
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

- WHMIS certification
- Criminal record check or willingness to obtain one
- Experience with public-sector, commercial, or institutional facilities
- Experience with lawn maintenance and snow removal is an asset

Cleaning supplies, consumables, and required equipment will be provided or arranged by NewGen Cleaning Services.
