About the Position

Tierra Designs Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Landscape Supervisor to oversee landscape construction and maintenance operations for residential and commercial projects throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.

The successful candidate will supervise field crews and coordinate daily site activities, materials, equipment, schedules, and project requirements while ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to project specifications and quality standards.

Position Summary

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating project activities, managing materials and equipment, monitoring project schedules and quality, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety requirements.

Main Duties

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of landscape construction and maintenance crews, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.
- Provide in office guidance and training while coordinating work with other crews, contractors, and project teams.
- Oversee residential and commercial landscaping projects, including grading, softscaping, hardscaping, retaining walls, paving stone installation, turf installation, and irrigation systems.
- Review plans and site requirements, monitor project progress and workmanship, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain quality and schedules.




- Enforce WorkSafeBC and company safety procedures, conduct daily tailgate meetings, and ensure safe work practices and proper use of PPE, tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Coordinate equipment allocation, maintenance, and usage, including landscaping machinery such as mini-excavators and skid steers.
- Plan and estimate labour and material requirements, coordinate material orders and deliveries, and monitor in office inventory and resource allocation.
- Communicate material shortages, equipment needs, and potential delays to project managers.
- Liaise with property owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders regarding site requirements, schedules, progress, and operational issues.
- Prepare daily site logs, progress reports, personnel and equipment records, and assist in resolving work-related problems.

Qualifications and Requirements

- High School Diploma
- Technical Diploma in Industrial Engineering, with an emphasis on supervision, quality control, and logistics.

Working Conditions

The position involves outdoor work at residential and commercial project sites throughout the Lower Mainland. The successful candidate must be able to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding activities associated with landscape construction and maintenance.

Pay: $31.40-$38.50 per hour
